Living in College Park opens the door to so many great food options. From tacos and burgers to sushi and breakfast, College Park promotes delicious eating from early morning until late night.
Some of the most popular restaurants on Edgewater Drive, the main street through College Park, include Tijuana Flats, Graffiti Junktion, Shakers and Jade Bistro. A personal favorite is Graffiti Junktion, home of a delicious burger. From plain burgers with cheese to burgers with a fried egg on top, G raffiti Junktion never disappoints. The best part? You aren’t going to pay $20 for a burger like you might do on Park Avenue or Downtown Orlando. If you aren’t in the mood for a burger when you go to Graffiti Junktion, don’t fret! They also have salads, appetizers and wraps. Don’t worry about getting dressed up for dinner here either; with picnic tables to eat off of and graffiti on the walls, the atmosphere is fun, artsy and welcoming. For all of those over 21 there is a full bar as well!
If you stay up late hanging out at Graffiti Junktion and wants some awesome breakfast food the next morning, head down to Shakers, also located on Edgewater. They serve breakfast and lunch, but their breakfast is always a delight to eat. They serve pancakes, omelets, eggs and oatmeal. If you want a breakfast special that includes two eggs, two pancakes, two bacon and two sausages you can get it - for only six dollars! The restaurant is small and mirrors an early diner and also allows you to feel right at home with mom-style cooking. Plan carefully, though. Shakers is closed on Sundays!
Tijuana Flats is a chain restaurant which is home to some delicious tacos, burritos, chimichangas, quesadillas and so much more. The service here is quick and efficient - you order at a register, sit down and the food is brought to you very quickly. This is another local restaurant that has art and pictures of celebrities that have ventured into the restaurant on the wall. They also provide some fantastic queso. All meals come with chips as well, so you won’t leave hungry. The toppings for all their meals are delicious and are included with the price; black olives and jalapenos and an extra kick to any of their delicious plates. The prices are cheap and the food is plentiful. The best part? They do a Taco Tuesdaze special where you get two tacos, chips and a drink for five dollars. Now that’s tasty!
Lastly is Jade Bistro, an Asian Cuisine and Sushi Bar restaurant. Don’t worry! If you don’t like sushi (not my fave!) they also provide an extensive menu that includes soup, salad, salmon, shrimp, chicken and lo mein. The prices are good for the amount of food you’re getting. The food is presented beautifully and the atmosphere is quiet and romantic. The best part? They also offer dessert!
The best part about living in College Park is the wide variety of food options. These are jus four of the SEVERAL restaurants that attract locals and tourists daily. Have some other suggestions? Let us know!
